America Votes in OPERATION: TAKE COMMAND - Monday, March 23, 2015

Last November, 7-Eleven invited military veterans from across the country to enter OPERATION: TAKE COMMAND for a chance to win a 7-Eleven franchise. More than 6,000 entries poured in and the top 10 finalists have been selected.

These finalists have created videos that are now posted to the 7-Eleven Franchise Facebook page. We’re asking America to listen to their stories and vote for the veteran they believe is most deserving of a brand new career.

The winner of OPERATION: TAKE COMMAND will receive a waiver of the franchise fee, valued at up to $190,000, to franchise any 7-Eleven convenience store available in the continental U.S.

According to 7-Eleven Vice President of Franchise Systems Greg Franks, not only were a high number of applications submitted, the caliber of the applicants is also very high. “From our veterans, I would expect nothing less,” says Franks.

In addition to serving in the military, our top 10 finalists have college and graduate degrees, extensive business and entrepreneurial experience, as well as personal connections to the 7-Eleven brand.

We wanted to give America even more incentive to vote. For every vote cast in OPERATION: TAKE COMMAND, 7-Eleven will donate $1 (up to $50,000) to Hire Heroes USA, an organization committed to helping U.S. service members, veterans and their spouses find work.

To vote for your hero, watch the top 10 videos at, and click the orange “vote” button on the video of the veteran you think is most deserving. You can vote once per day until March 29th, and the top three candidates selected will be flown to Dallas, Texas, for an interview with 7-Eleven President and CEO Joe DePinto – a retired U.S. Army officer and an advocate for our U.S. Military veterans.

7-Eleven believes veterans have what it takes to grow a successful business. We offer support from the top, plus special military discounts and financing for vets. Military Times included 7-Eleven in its BEST FOR VETS: Franchises rankings. For more information about these incentives, or to learn more about franchising with the world’s #1 convenience store, visit
