Smartphones have changed our world. They’re also changing the way people shop, which is why 7-Eleven has gone to great lengths to stay out in front of this mobile revolution. In the digital world, it’s called “being mobile ready,” and with our optimized website and 7Rewards app, we’re knocking it out of the park. But don’t just take our word for it.
A brand-new study took a long, hard look at the “mobile readiness” of thousands of brands in major markets around the world – and guess which ones came out on top? Yep – 7-Eleven ranked in the top three, right behind digital media big shots Facebook and Amazon.
Mobile marketing agency Ansible created the study to examine how well brands are keeping up with rapidly changing consumer behavior. To measure how dynamic and immersive a brand’s website and app are on smartphones, it focused on several factors, including how easily sites can be found with a search engine, whether they’re optimized for mobile, and how easily sites and apps can be navigated.
We’re proud of our ranking because we take our mobile readiness very seriously. It’s a big deal to customers – and it’s a big deal to our Franchisees, who daily reap the benefits of an app that drives customer loyalty. Our mobile readiness is also proof of our devotion to innovating for the success of our Franchisees (but that’s another blog).
We couldn’t agree more. 7-Eleven will never stop searching for new ways to connect with our customers. And if this study happens again next year – Facebook and Amazon better watch their backs.
