When you become a member of the 7-Eleven Franchisee family, you’re more than just a small-business owner. You’re a leader in your community. It may seem a bit lofty, but consider this: The average 7-Eleven store sees hundreds of customers walk through its doors every single day. And most of those visits are by customers who live and work in the neighborhood. As a store owner, you get to interact with them all. Every day brings the chance to meet new people and get to know regular customers even more. That’s because when a 7-Eleven store opens, it quickly becomes part of the neighborhood.
At 7-Eleven, we champion customer service above all else—and it doesn’t stop the moment a customer walks out the door. Our commitment to servant leadership follows them into the community. For instance, Idrish Vohra of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, provides a monthly breakfast to a local retirement community. Gunu Singh of Northridge, California, supplies refreshments to her local city council meetings. And a group of 7-Eleven Franchisees in Culver City, California, hosts a local Little League Picture Day where players and parents are treated to snacks and juice. These are just a few of the countless ways Franchisees give back to their communities.
Of course, joining the 7-Eleven family means you’re really part of two communities: your local neighborhood and 7-Eleven’s national efforts. Earlier this year, 7-Eleven joined the American Red Cross Disaster Responder program. Members of the program include leading corporations that donate a minimum of $250,000 annually to provide the highest level of support to American Red Cross preparedness and relief efforts. Year-round support from 7-Eleven helps ensure the Red Cross can act immediately when disasters occur.
When Hurricane Florence devastated the Carolina coasts last month, 7-Eleven stores in and near the hurricane evacuation areas brought in extra truckloads of supplies to help residents. 7-Eleven EVP and COO Chris Tanco explains:
Tanco added, “Likewise, the world looks to the American Red Cross to respond and provide help to people impacted by disasters as quickly as possible. We understand preparedness, and contributions such as ours are critical to their success.” Click here [https://www.redcross.org/about-us/our-work/disaster-relief/hurricane-relief/hurricane- florence-relief-information.html] to learn more about the American Red Cross or donate to its Hurricane Florence relief efforts.
